Strange comment

I just deleted a comment on my last post that looked inoccuous enough, and certainly wasn’t indicated as spam, but it was a lttle bit odd. The chap basically commented that he liked my blog, and that he was thinking of dropping one of his wordpress blogs in favour of one like mine.

As this  is a WordPress blog, there was not a lot of advice about my blogs I could give. If you are that person, my apologies, but you must see my point, yes?

Is this  a new spam technique? Make an innocuous play to a bloggers vanity, which is approved and replied to, which means that subsequent posts are approved automatically.

I am getting a bit too cynical me thinks.
