More singers (sewing machines of course)

If this carries on we will have a choir! So we already have a 1911 28K on a treadle, that belonged to my wife’s great grandma, grandma and mother, and a 1960 99k which was stripped to bare metal, repainted and restored, and recently we got a 201k for $30, which is nearly finished. This one was sitting on a garage shelf unused for about 40 years, everything was shiny, except internal bearings which were clogged with varnish, and may have had a bent linkage in the needle head. This one should be back together tomorrow. Unfortunately while buying this machine I added a few more to my watchlist! One of these finished yesterday and as no one else bid I got an immaculate 15k110 with “Raf” decals (it’s a gull, not an eagle people!) for $30, which is in need of a lube and clean. On the way home with it we popped in to checkout another pair on my watchlist, a 1959 185k and a 1947 99k. Both need parts and work, but we loved how clean they were on the outside, the cases and the extras that came with them, so bought them on the spot for $100 the pair! More details on each restore will follow, and hopefully I can offload some of these as I finish them, I mean who needs six singers in a house!
