Over and over again I read statements from very enthusiastic e-bike riders, retailers, manufacturers and advocates that e-bikes are THE way of the future. This is absolute nonsense of course, they are A way of the future, but many other transport forms will also become more prevalent as the the ICE powered vehicle becomes a thing of the past. I think e-bikes will influence other forms of transport, lightweight electric vehicles are definitely going to be a huge part of the future, but so are electric cars, and public transport systems like buses, trains, trams etc. Even conventional bikes will be a major part of the way transport changes in the future, the lightweight, always ready convenience of a traditional bike will never lose its value, especially amongst the young, the fit and the budget conscious.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
